Lightweights Seeking First Wins Added to NEF 64

NEWS

New England Fights (“NEF”) returns with “NEF 64: Call to Arms” on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. The event will feature a full lineup of mixed martial arts (MMA) and kickboxing bouts. Tickets are available now at www.TicketMaster.com.

Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of an amateur lightweight matchup between Ben Rogers (0-1) and Caleb Flanders (0-1).

Rogers made his NEF debut last month at NEF 63 against undefeated Nostos fighter Avery Poole (3-0). He fell via first-round submission, but the Portland native was undeterred and chose to make an immediate turnaround for NEF 64. Rogers trains at The Academy in Portland under Maine MMA pioneers and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Black Belts Jay Jack and Amanda Buckner.

“A lot of lessons were learned in my debut fight,” Rogers said. “I plan to use these when I step in the cage on November 8th.”

Like his opponent, Flanders also dropped his debut—losing a decision to Kyle Warren (1-1) at NEF 60 in November 2024. Unlike Rogers, however, Flanders took a year away from competition before committing to his return at NEF 64. He trains at Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ) under recently retired NEF fighter and BJJ Black Belt Jesse “The Viking” Erickson.

“I’m excited to get back in the cage at NEF 64,” Flanders said. “My debut fight was in Bangor and I’m excited to be back at the Cross Insurance Center to bring the violence. I’ve been working hard in the gym. I’m confident and ready to showcase my talent and do whatever it takes to get my hand raised.”

“At NEF, we showcase athletes who embody courage and resilience,” said NEF co-founder Matt Peterson. “Ben and Caleb have each faced adversity, and now they’re stepping back into the cage with everything to gain. On November 8, fans in Bangor will see one of them break through with that first NEF win.”

“NEF 64: Call to Arms” takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the first fight scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at www.TicketMaster.com.
