CAMPBELL vs LAGASSE IN THE QUEEN CITY

NEWS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Bangor, Maine (October 1, 2023) – New England Fights presents its next mixed-martial-arts event “NEF 55: Glory Days” on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of an amateur bantamweight bout to the card. William Lagasse (2-1) will take on Jackson Campbell (1-0) at a fight weight of 135 pounds.

William Lagasse will compete on the fourth consecutive NEF event this year, making him one of the most active fighters on the promotion’s roster. He made his debut at “NEF 52” in May with a spectacular head kick knockout of Connor Morrill (2-4) just 20 seconds into the first round. Lagasse would follow up that performance in July at “NEF 53” with a 17-second knockout of Joe Diaz (0-1). He would then take Danny Buteau (2-0) to the second round before suffering his first loss at “NEF 54” last month. Lagasse represents Team Alena.

“First off, thank you to NEF once again for putting together an amazing card,” said Lagasse. “Just know that November 11th, I’m on a mission and you will see a brand new me!”

This will be Jackson Campbell’s second time fighting in front of his hometown friends and family in Bangor. Last February at “NEF 51,” Campbell looked impressive in his amateur debut with a second-round submission of Patrick Mitchell (1-2). Campbell represents Young’s MMA based in nearby Orrington, Maine.

“William is a great opponent and I’m ready for wherever this fight takes place,” said Campbell.

“NEF 55: Glory Days” takes place on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. Doors are scheduled to open at 6 pm with first fight taking place at 7 pm. Tickets to “NEF 55” are available now at www.ticketmaster.com.
