New England Fights presents its next mixed-martial-arts event “NEF 55: Glory Days” on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of an amateur catchweight bout to the card. Timm Murray (1-2) is scheduled to take on Ezra Butler (0-1) at a fight weight of 130 pounds.
Timm “The Fighting Chef” Murray will enter the NEF cage as an amateur for the fourth time on November 11. He holds a first-round technical knockout win over Giuliano Rossi (0-2) via leg kick. Murray had returned to the promotion this past summer at “NEF 53” after an absence of nearly two years. He represents VisionQuest Muay Thai based in Pittsfield, Maine.
“I’d like to start by thanking NEF for the opportunity to step back in the cage,” said Murray. “There isn’t much to know about my opponent aside from he isn’t from New England, but I’m ready to welcome him to the north at a sold-out event. VisionQuest has a bunch of fights that night so keep eyes out for the axes and that kool aid!”
Ezra Butler will make his promotional debut with NEF on November 11. He had his first amateur fight last summer on a fight card in Indiana, a fight which he lost via unanimous decision. Butler represents Lee Brothers MMA based in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
“I’m not great with talking,” noted Butler. “I’ll let my hands do that part. I’m grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to making the trip to Maine!”
“NEF 55: Glory Days” takes place on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. Doors are scheduled to open at 6 pm with first fight taking place at 7 pm. Tickets to “NEF 55” are available now at www.ticketmaster.com.
