Third Nostos Test Awaits Abdullah as He Faces Behling at NEF 64

NEWS

New England Fights (“NEF”) returns with “NEF 64: Call to Arms” on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. The card will feature a full lineup of mixed martial arts (MMA) and kickboxing bouts. Tickets are available now at www.TicketMaster.com.

Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of an amateur bantamweight matchup: Qasim Abdullah (3-2) vs. Alex Behling (2-3) at 135 pounds.

Qasim Abdullah burst onto the NEF scene in February 2023 and quickly terrorized the flyweight division. He rattled off three consecutive victories that year, dazzling fans with dominant wrestling and repeatedly throwing opponents overhead for highlight-reel suplexes. After establishing himself at 125 pounds, Abdullah made the decision to move up to bantamweight. Since then, results have been harder to come by, with losses to reigning champion Jackson Campbell (5-0) and, most recently, top contender Julian Connerton (7-3) at NEF 63. November’s fight against Behling continues Abdullah’s rivalry with Nostos— his third meeting with the camp after going undefeated in the first two. Qasim trains at The Choi Institute.

When asked for comment, Qasim offered no words ahead of the fight, only a guarantee that he’ll let his actions speak on November 8.

Alex Behling’s uneven record is no reflection of his ability. He has never been finished in a fight and represents one of New England’s most successful teams, Nostos, under the guidance of former NEF Lightweight Champion and UFC veteran Devin Powell. Behling last competed in the NEF cage at NEF 57 in April 2024, earning a first-round finish over William Lagasse (2-5). In November, he returns looking to remain unbeaten inside the promotion.

“I’m confident everywhere,” said Behling. “I’m gonna make him play my game. From there, I’ll find a finish whether it’s on the feet or on the ground and I’ll put him away. He’s beaten two guys from our gym in the past which will make it even sweeter.”

“From his silent walkouts to his suplexes to his intensity in post-fight interviews, Qasim has always been a fighter who delivers unforgettable moments in NEF,” said NEF co-founder Matt Peterson. “Alex is dangerous because he’s durable, battle-tested, and sharpened every day in one of New England’s top gyms. Together, they represent the heart of New England MMA — hungry athletes chasing their breakthrough.”

“NEF 64: Call to Arms” takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the first fight at 7 p.m. Tickets are available now at www.TicketMaster.com.
