Corson Demands Trial By Fire Against Turner

NEWS

New England Fights (“NEF”) returns with “NEF 64: Call to Arms” on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. The event will showcase a stacked lineup of mixed martial arts (MMA) and kickboxing bouts. Tickets are available now at www.ticketmaster.com.

Earlier today, NEF announced a professional welterweight showdown between two fighters familiar to NEF fans: Christian Turner (9-2) and Devin Corson (0-0 pro debut).

American Top Team’s Christian “The Titan” Turner burst onto the NEF scene at NEF 56 in February 2024 when he finished James Lawson (0-7) with strikes in just 23 seconds. He quickly returned at NEF 57 that April, earning a unanimous decision victory over lightweight contender Kyle “Poof” Pufahl (6-2). Turner closed out 2024 with a highlight-reel knockout of NEF legend Bruce “Pretty Boy” Boyington (19-14) at NEF 60. Now, Turner has moved permanently to welterweight, where he looks to continue his winning streak.

“I’m looking forward to coming back to NEF to put on a show for the Mainers in great fashion,” Turner said.

Like Turner, Devin Corson began his career at 155 pounds before moving up to welterweight. Corson debuted in 2017 and compiled a strong 5-1 amateur record. He capped off his amateur run by capturing the NEF Welterweight Championship with a dominant finish of David Burke (0-1) at NEF 54 in September 2023. Now, Corson is set to make his professional debut and has made it clear he intends to dive straight into meaningful fights. He trains at Titan Athletics in Brewer, Maine.

“I’m humbled for the chance to compete against an opponent who has already accomplished a lot at a young age,” said Corson. “I like being the underdog. I want to test my heart and spirit against tough competition. I don’t want easy fights—I’m here to test myself. The only things I fear are God and not trying!”

“The theme for this event is called ‘Call to Arms’ for a reason,” said NEF co-founder Matt Peterson. “A Call to Arms is about awakening resolve. It’s an urgent cry that stirs the dormant spirit, demanding courage, unity, and momentum. It rouses people from passivity and challenges them to rise with conviction. That’s exactly what you see in these matchups—fighters like Devin Corson refusing easy paths, demanding real tests, and stepping boldly into the arena. Because a Call to Arms is more than words—it’s deeds, and on November 8, these athletes will answer it.”

“NEF 64: Call to Arms” takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the first fight at 7 p.m. Tickets are available now at www.TicketMaster.com.
