New England Fights (“NEF”) presents its next event “NEF 64: Call to Arms,” on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. The event will feature a full slate of mixed-martial-arts (MMA) and kickboxing bouts. Tickets are on sale now at www.TicketMaster.com.
Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of a professional MMA lightweight bout to the card. Ed Davis (3-1) will meet Lionel Young (11-22) at a fight weight of 155 pounds.
Ed “WAR” Davis will return to the cage for the first time since last February when he submitted Matt Denning (8-25) in the first round of their encounter at “NEF 61.” Davis is known as a finisher with all three of his pro wins and his two amateur wins coming by way of stoppage. He is a veteran of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) cage where he competed at the venerable Madison Square Garden in New York City. Davis represents Titan Athletics in nearby Brewer, Maine.
“I’m super excited to be getting back in the cage in Bangor,” noted Davis. “I like the match up with Young. He’s a tough guy who only fights other tough opponents. He is 15 rankings ahead of me in New England and I’m looking forward to getting in there and making a statement and taking his slot. November 8 is going to be a date that you do not want to miss! Be sure to bring your popcorn to the fights and don’t miss the fireworks. I’ll see you guys soon!”
Massachusetts’ Lionel “Boogz” Young is one of the most recognizable names in all of New England fight sports. A longtime veteran, he has competed regularly since 2009 throughout the region. Young is also a veteran of the boxing ring. This fight will mark his return to the NEF cage for the first time since 2018. Young represents Citadel Martial Arts and Stay Young Fitness.
“I’m gonna rejoice that I have the chance to whoop this boy in his hometown and make MMA in New England great again,” said Young, “because what is New England MMA without a boogeyman?!”
“NEF 64: Call to Arms” takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. Doors will open at 6 pm with the first fight taking place at 7 pm. Tickets are on sale now at www.TicketMaster.com.
