FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Portland, Maine (July 1, 2023) – New England Fights returns to Merrill Auditorium in Portland with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event, “NEF 53: American Valor,” on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Earlier today, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur heavyweight bout to the card. Miles Emery (1-0) will meet Adolfo Bedolla (0-0) at a fight weight of 265 pounds.
Miles “The Ice Viking” Emery made his NEF MMA debut earlier this year at “NEF 51.” Emery sent the capacity crowd into overdrive that night when he knocked out Cody Dular (1-2) in a little over one minute into the first round. Emery is a proud member of the Maine Army National Guard. He trains at Titan Athletics in Brewer, Maine.
“I am excited to be back in the cage,” Emery stated when reached for comment. “I’m looking to put on another show. I hope everyone is ready for fireworks. I respect my opponent and am happy he took this fight, but I plan to bring controlled savagery, beautiful violence, and show everyone what I am capable of. I’m not happy with my last performance and am looking to show just how capable I am. Tune in and don’t blink!”
Adolfo Bedolla will make his NEF and MMA debut on July 8th. Bedolla trains out of Davidson County BJJ in North Carolina where he trains with former NEF Welterweight Champion “Magic” Mike Murray. He holds a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
“Don’t underestimate me just because this is my first fight,” Bedolla stated when reached for comment. “I’m hungry. I’m coming for the kill. We’ll see you next Saturday!”
“NEF 53: American Valor” takes place on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine. Doors are scheduled to open at 6 pm with first fight taking place at 7 pm. Tickets to “NEF 53” are available now at www.porttix.com.
