Lagasse Returns to NEF Kickboxing in Bangor

NEWS

The Maine MMA scene will see William Lagasse (0-1 kickboxing, 2-5 MMA) step back into the spotlight at NEF 64: Call to Arms on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. Lagasse will face Jonas Ryerson (1-0 kickboxing, 1-2 MMA) in an amateur kickboxing bout set at 140 pounds.

Lagasse made his kickboxing debut earlier this summer at NEF 63: Cruel Summer. Despite being paired against the undefeated Connor Morrill (4-0-1), Lagasse showed grit and durability by going the full three rounds to the judges’ scorecards. While the decision didn’t go his way, the performance demonstrated Lagasse’s toughness and willingness to challenge himself against top-level competition.

Before stepping into the kickboxing ranks, Lagasse built his combat sports résumé in mixed martial arts. He compiled a 2-5 amateur MMA record. Notably, his first two victories came in emphatic fashion—back-to-back knockouts totaling just 37 seconds of cage time. Those early highlights cemented his reputation as a fighter capable of finishing opponents quickly when the opportunity presents itself.

Lagasse views NEF 64 as a chance to build on his kickboxing experience and face another finishing threat. “This fight is very important to me,” Lagasse said. “You can expect to see me keeping the pressure on and to be very technical at the same time. It’s going to be fireworks. I can smell it for sure.”

Both Lagasse and Ryerson have knockout power, setting up a contest where either fighter could end things quickly. Fans of New England MMA can expect an intriguing stylistic matchup in Bangor. Both Lagasse and Ryerson carry knockout power, and their willingness to trade shots promises a fast-paced contest.

NEF 64: Call to Arms takes place Saturday, November 8, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Tickets are available at www.TicketMaster.com.
